Philosophy

I believe that my role as an educator is to guide and collaborate with children as they discover the world around them using their natural curiosity. I place an importance on forming relationships with each individual and unique child to help them be the best version of themselves. I strive to encourage a growth mindset, and a classroom community where each child feels safe to make mistakes and learn from them.

Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, I agree that the responsibility of an educator is to pay respect for children's potential to interact with their world, develop personal, meaningful relationships and construct new, complex meanings and knowledge. I believe bring immersed in the local community is also important for the classroom.

My philosophy places importance on experiential learning and sees the child as strong, capable, and resilient. Children form an understanding of themselves by exploring the world around them in relationship-driven environments.
