Unit Plans
1. Unit Organizer-Grade 3 Invisible Forces
A unit plan organizer is a useful way to deconstruct the indicators of a particular curriculum outcome. By organizing curriculum information in a graphic organizer, it helps assist teachers when planning lessons and assessment.
This unit organizer is planned to cover the grade 3 Nova Scotia outcomes for the invisible forces unit in science.

Big picture of unit.
Professional Growth Targets
To use this layout when planning units in other subject areas.
To keep the organizer as a living document that can continuously be edited, and adapted into a parent-friendly version so parents/guardians have an idea of what their child is learning.

Expanded version of the unit. What the students should know is under each heading.
2. Inquiry Project: "Where does your food come from?"
Inquiry-based learning is important because it allows students opportunity to discover their own curiosities. This inquiry project is particularly important because it brings awareness to Earth Day and fosters environment stewardship with an integrated approach.

Professional Growth Target
Incorporate a "Wonder Jar" or "Wonder Wall" in my classroom for students to express their curiosities.
