Awareness of School Context:

Diversity

1. Closing the Socioeconomic Achievement Gap in Nova Scotia

It is important as an educator to consistently be a researcher too-especially when we need strategies for different identities in our classroom. Poverty plays a big role in how our students learn and so it is important to know how we can help. Below is a brochure I have created to inform educators of ways they can help close the gap.

2.  Students First Inclusion Commission- Document

The Students First document is a culmination of a year of study, research, consultation with the public and ongoing conversations with Nova Scotians to review the current practice and policy of inclusive education. This document is an important resource for educators to understand a new model of inclusive education that aims to support diverse students in the classroom.
