Principles:

Engaging Learners

Giftedness is a learning exceptionality you may find in your classroom. Using the Nova Scotia provincial document "Gifted Education and Talent Development", research has been done in the presentation below on the definition of giftedness, how gifted behaviours show in students, first-person perspectives and different technologies to assist gifted behaviour.

Professional Growth Target
To challenge students in my classroom who show gifted behaviours by engaging them in individual projects.

2. Introduction Letter to Parents

Communication with parents is important, especially as a new teacher in the classroom. Sending a letter home to parents was important to send at the beginning of my practicum so that parents have the opportunity to know me and ask any questions they may have. When the parents and teacher have respect for one another and have the same goal to putting the student/child first, then it will benefit the student's learning.
